While actually spending American tax dollars on programs that help American citizens, rather than corporations, is definitely a step in the right direction, I think the Green New Deal sounds superior to the Obama jobs plan.

Once our air and water is polluted with toxic chemicals, it is pretty much impossible to unpollute, particularly when the pollution gets into the aquafir. The Green New Deal will help stop hydraulic fracturing, oil drilling, the burning of coal, and nuclear fission, each of which is very dangerous, making thousands of Americans get sick and die. Stopping or even reducing these things by building solar panels and windmills would save lives.
Even if you oppose taxes, if we are going to have them, isn't it better for taxes to be spent saving American lives and giving jobs to Americans, rather than killing Iraqis or Afghanis or bailing out corrupt banks?
